Thanks, startingover, for this-almost-first hand evidence, that tallies with the inner impression I had watching him on the TV, and this shyness in socialising is coherent with what he repeatedly confessed. Let's hope justice will be rendered to his memory.

I remember having heard him plead to journalists that he wasn't "a criminal" and, from the way he did it yes, I believed him. When you add up what that chap has had to go through, vitiligo, lupus, scalp pain, the fact he resented people believing he was denying his black nature and what else, you just want to tell him RIP, MJ, it's all over and people won't stop soon dancing on Billie Jean and Beat it.

New unique book on JWs published
by InquiryMan ina book on jws containing contributions from more than 10 professionals, giving different angles on jw doctrine, organization, life and culture has been published by the norwegian university press publishing ho... a jw is also contributing, allowing the jws to give a self-presentation.... it is rolf furuli who has written that part, he is also coordinator in an oslo congregation and is working at the university of oslo.. in fact, my parents intends to read the book, and that is good, cause it also mentions information not commonly known among regular jws, e.g.
mexico/malawi etc... it also gives the web address to a number of support web sites for "disgruntled" witnesses.. the book has come into existence also in cooperation with brooklyn hqs and the national branch office providing information and literature.. a good reading, accurate, containing less than five actual mistakes in close to 200 pages ;-)... (one minor one in the witness chapter.
he says in general witnesses are ambassadors of god s kingdom.. and shows this by reference to 2. cor.

Ex jw wife
by sspo ini find it interesting that i posted about 16 days ago concerning whether i should write a letter and.
allow my ex wife to be free and marry.. saturday night she called out of the blue ( maybe there is a god upthere looking down) after 3 years of not talking to her and she wants to meets.. we met last night and after small talk about how we are both doing and family stuff, she asked me if i would write a letter.
freeing her or releasing her from our marriage without admitting adultery, since i don't believe in the bible anymore,.

SSPO,
If you think that your common life with your jw ex wife belongs to the past and that there is no chance whatsoever that you resume it, it would be a nice and kind move on your part to give her back her freedom along her own rules. In doing so you will just manifest a generous non revengeful nature, well above petty schemes and you will be the winner.

I wrote twice. The first letter was "has Erich FROST really given in his colleagues to the gestapo, as we can read it on the internet ?" they answered that they were not in a position to tell me but if I wrote to the German branch they could tell. They added that the value of an information is often in direct proportion with the value of its source (apostates on the internet) and the fac-simile pages of FROST's questioning by the gestapo "had the appearance of authenticity".
The other letter was about a WT study article where they say that in Mak's Gospel the sower is the JW publisher, when it is quite obvious, through comparison with Matthew's synoptic Gospel that the sower is Jesus. They answered that one could come to that conclusion at first sight but the FDS must have written that for good reasons, we must trust them, bla bla bla.
I don't know if the branch sent my letters to the elders, I showed them anyway, with the answers, quite happy to sow seeds of doubts in the less ignorant ones' minds.

Not from my own stock, Google's jewish jokes site :
A Priest and a Rabbi are riding in a plane. After a while, the Priest turns to the Rabbi and asks, "Is it still a requirement of your faith that you not eat pork?"
The Rabbi responds, "Yes, that is still one of our beliefs."
The Priest then asks, "Have you ever eaten pork?"
To which the Rabbi replies, "Yes, on one occasion I did succumb to temptation and tasted pork."
The Priest nodded in understanding and went on with his reading. A while later, the Rabbi spoke up and asked the Priest, "Father, is it still a requirement of your church that you remain celibate?"
The Priest replied, "Yes, that is still very much a part of our faith."
The Rabbi then asked him, "Father, have you ever fallen to the temptations of the flesh?"
The Priest replied, "Yes Rabbi, on one occasion I was weak and broke with my faith."
The Rabbi nodded understandingly for a moment and then said, "A lot better than pork isn't it?" -

Crafts
by mrsjones5 inwhen i was growing up in the borg i didn't see much in the way of craftmaking except for a few who knew how to sew.
no one that i knew at any of the halls i went to knitted or crocheted or tatted or did much in the needle arts other than sewing.
i was introduced to knitting by a "worldly" woman who was my brother's nurse.. maybe this is just something i noticed and is limited to my borg experience.. josie.

My wife's Mom had 4 daughters in the same age bracket and she wanted them to be busy all the time so as not to remain day dreaming. As a result she is now very skilled at knitting, crocheting mats, etc. On top of it she's such a generous person that she would readily give them as presents to the many sisters in the congregation (incredible how many friends she has in these instances...) who marvel at her work, if I weren't watching and telling her that she must keep some for herself (made a beautiful crocheted blouse cover, lately) and her children.
